The trade body for wind and water energy is on the hunt for public affairs support as it urges the Government to step up its efforts to tackle climate change.

As revealed on prweek. com, the British Wind Energy Association wants an agency to report to comms director Charles Anglin.

Sources at the association, the professional body for the UK wind and marine renewables industries, said it had already received several approaches but had not drawn up a final shortlist. A competitive pitch is expected to take place in February.

There is no incumbent, although the association has previously used Bellenden Public Affairs for projectwork.

The association, formed in 1978, comprises more than 350 corporate members. BWE A is tasked with lobbying the Government, promoting wind, wave and tidal energy and championing renewable resources.
